Abstract
Foundations are a crucial element in a building structure because they play a role in transferring loads from the structure above to the soil layer below. Foundations are usually applied to building structures that experience significant loads. Green View Office is a new building located in Kediri Regency, East Java Province. This area has characteristics of clay soil mixed with sand or is classified as unstable soil. Based on the results of the investigation and understanding of the soil characteristics, a type of foundation was obtained in the form of a pile foundation. The pile foundation is planned with a diameter of 60 cm and a length of 9 m. Calculation of the bearing capacity of piles uses empirical equations based on sondir test data or CPT (Cone Penetration Test). The results of the analysis of the bearing capacity of a single pile are 44,04 tons. And the group pile carrying capacity is 250,408 tons. Where this value is greater than the axial load (P) and the X direction moment on the building, namely 172,26 tons, so the piles are safe to use. The optimal planned pile cap dimensions for foundation needs are 270 cm x 270 cm with a reinforcement diameter of 32 mm and a pile cap thickness of 75 cm, which is considered to ensure stability and adequate bearing capacity. The settlement that occurred for the pile group was 0,077287 mm, which was much lower than the settlement limit that had been set at 60 mm.
