Abstract

Hospitals, as one of the primary healthcare facilities, play a crucial role in providing medical services. The continuous growth of the population and increasing public awareness about health have prompted the government and related parties to undertake development projects. The construction project of the RS Bhayangkara Bojonegoro building supports government policies in equitable development. Therefore, this project should not be delayed and should be completed as soon as possible to realize its benefits and support regional development achievements. As the main referral hospital, RSUD Dr. R. Sosodoro Djatikoesoemo often experiences patient overload, leading to long queues and limited facilities. Thus, RS Bhayangkara Bojonegoro serves as the primary destination to reduce the burden on RSUD Dr. R. Sosodoro Djatikoesoemo and enhance healthcare services in line with sustainable development policies in Bojonegoro. Additionally, acceleration is advisable because the first floor is designated as the Emergency Department (ED) and the second floor as inpatient rooms. Considering that the ED is a critical part of the hospital, providing emergency medical services for patients with life- threatening illnesses or injuries, and operates 24 hours a day. The Critical Path Method (CPM) is a series of activities used to plan and control project timelines. This study aims to analyze which tasks need to be monitored using the CPM method and to analyze time control with a crashing program to expedite the duration and minimize delays while keeping costs manageable. The calculation results using the Critical Path Method with crashing indicate that the project can be controlled within 108 days with a total cost of Rp. 5,466,784,539. Activities included in the critical path are A, B, C1-C5, D.1, D5, E.1, E2, and F.1. By identifying the critical path and analyzing the relationship between time and cost, project managers can optimize project schedules and avoid delays that could lead to escalating budgets. Keywords : Crashing, Critical Path Method (CPM), Time and Cost Control.
