Abstract

Mayor Bismo Street in Kediri, with a length of 1.62 km, serves as a national road connecting primary and secondary areas. This road, which handles high traffic loads, frequently experiences damage such as cracks, potholes, and deformations caused by high Average Daily Traffic (ADT) and geographic conditions. This study aims to evaluate road damage using the Surface Distress Index (SDI), Pavement Condition Index (PCI), and Bina Marga methods to comprehensively determine maintenance priorities. Data were collected through visual surveys conducted on 100-meter segments, including identifying damage types, measuring dimensions, and calculating ADT over three days. The analysis revealed major types of damage, including alligator cracks, potholes, and surface depressions. Road condition values obtained through the PCI, SDI, and Bina Marga methods were compared to identify high-priority segments for maintenance. The findings provide recommendations for routine maintenance, periodic repairs, or reconstruction based on the severity of the damage. This study is expected to serve as a reference for local governments in developing road maintenance strategies to improve infrastructure quality, enhance mobility, and support economic growth in the region.
