Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of household income and consumption on the welfare of land-owning farming families in Ngentrong Village, Karangan District, Trenggalek Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research type that aims to explain the causal relationship and test the influence of household income and consumption variables on the welfare of land-owning farming families. The research population in this study was 89 land-owning farmers in Ngentrong Village, with a sample of 89 respondents determined using saturated sampling. The survey method was through questionnaire distribution and data analysis using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method with the help of SmartPLS 4. The results showed that household income and consumption had a positive and significant effect on family welfare. The R-Square value of 0.486 indicates that household income and consumption were able to explain variations in family welfare by 48.6%, while the rest was influenced by other factors outside the research model. Household consumption was the most dominant variable in influencing family welfare. These results show that the welfare of farming families is not only related to income levels, but also the household's ability to meet needs through consumption management.
