Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of budget transparency and information access on public trust in regional financial management in Kediri Regency, both partially and simultaneously. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of residents of Kediri Regency aged 20–59 years, while the sample comprised 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Primary data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed with IBM SPSS through validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination. The results indicate that budget transparency has a positive and significant effect on public trust in regional financial management. Information access also has a positive and significant effect on public trust in regional financial management. Furthermore, budget transparency and information access simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on public trust in regional financial management in Kediri Regency. These findings suggest that improving budget transparency and facilitating public access to information regarding regional financial management can enhance public trust in the local government.
