Abstract

Pelvic coil activities that occur in TPK PT. X is cutting down trees and lifting wood. Risks – the risk of frequent work accidents and unsustainable handling. This study aims to find out the results of recommendations using FGD in PT. X to reduce work accidents based on FMEA method. The research method is observation mode of failure of each activity. FMEA calculation to find out the rpn value of the failure mode of each activity. Qualitative analysis using FGD based on the highest RPN. The results of this study are RPN Ranking 1,2 and 3, namely cutting down trees with electrical failure mode of cutting machine worth 245, the sound of cutting machine is worth 210, hit by twigs and exposed to sawdust worth 150. As for the wooden lift with a working posture failure mode worth 336, slipped worth 294 and felled a tree worth 288. FGD results include labor principles that are improving insight, observation related to work and wearing personal protective equipment. The principle of mutual reminding method and coordination between workers and maintain the condition of the body. The manager educates K3, PPE and work evaluation every 4 weeks. FGD using FMEA basis is expected to provide proper implementation for pelvic porter workers at TPK PT.X. So that in the future more complex can apply fishbone diagrams with 5M prinsp (Man, Machine, Money, Method, Material). Keywords: FGD, FMEA, Labor, Failure, Mode, RPN
