Abstract

Area Sample Framework Survey is one of the breakthroughs in collecting statistical data on food crops, especially rice. The legal basis for the implementation of the activity is the Regulation of the Head of the Central Statistics Agency Number 40 of 2017. The purpose of this activity is to improve the method of collecting agricultural data from the eye view method to the information technology based method through a special application. This activity is a collaboration between the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT). Field implementation in all regions of Indonesia is coordinated by the local regency / city BPS Office. This activity has been going on from 2017 until now. In order for the implementation of the Area Sample Framework Survey to achieve the expected goals, it is necessary to conduct research to the extent that these activities are carried out effectively. BPS Nganjuk Regency of East Java Province was chosen to be the object of research. To find out the effectiveness of this activity, the indicators examined include: (1) Land survey selection of the sample frame area to be observed, (2) Making an android-based application for observing the sample frame survey area every month, and comparing it to the manual one, (3) Performance of fieldwork survey of area sample frame survey, (4) Selection of observation time of survey of area sample frame, (5) Flow / phase of area sample frame survey The results showed that the implementation of the Area Sample Framework Survey in Nganjuk District was very effective. This is based on: 1) The observed land is in accordance with the purpose of the activity, namely agricultural land planted with rice plants, 2) The application is very easy to operate in the field and the calculation is very accurate compared to manual observation, 3) Field officers consisting of supervisory officers and the enumerator is very satisfying, 4) the time of the activity which always falls at the end of the month is very well chosen, 5) The stages of the Area Sample Survey Survey are very simple and easy to do.
