Abstract

Inventory of raw materials is the main need for every company, be it trading companies or manufacturing companies and service companies. Without raw material supplies, business actors will be faced with the risk that their company cannot fulfill customer desires, which means that business actors will lose the opportunity to obtain the profits that they should get. The supply of raw materials is very important for every company, whether it is a company that produces goods or services. The type of research used in this research is descriptive quantitative research. By using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method, it shows that the amount of soybean raw material usage is more economical, namely 578,582131 Kg, and the amount of cooking oil raw material usage is 179,309018 L, the frequency of ordering soybean raw materials and cooking oil for SMEs TEMPE KERIPIK "KASANAH "When using the EOQ method, there are 15 orders for soybean raw materials in 1 year and 9 orders for cooking oil raw materials in 1 year, while orders so far made by MSME TEMPE KERIPIK "KASANAH" are 24 times each in one year. , UMKM KERIPIK TEMPE "KASANAH" does not stipulate the existence of a safety stock or security stock in its policy, while in the use of the EOQ method, security supplies can be used to expedite the production process, namely 156 kg of soybeans and 48 kg of cooking oil resulting in the use of raw materials to be more efficient, so as to minimize the costs incurred by MSMEs can reduce Maximize the profit earned. It is recommended that SMEs use the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method, safety stock, reorder point, and total cost to manage production using raw materials to determine an economical quantity. , avoiding the risk of running out of raw materials and excess raw materials and in order to achieve production targets.
