Abstract

Jombang Regency has a geographic location between: 5°20′ – 5°30′ East Longitude and between: 7°20′ and 7°45′ South Latitude with an area of 115,950 Ha (1,159.5 Km²) or 2.4% of the Province area. East Java and one of the areas with a tropical climate which has two seasons, namely the dry season and the rainy season. Based on the calculation results according to the classification given by Schmidt and Ferguson. The climate of Jombang Regency is climate type D, where the rainy season for this type usually falls from November to April, and the dry season falls from May to October. This causes the rainy season to last for a short time but the intensity is higher than normal rainfall. In this research, the method used to calculate average rainfall is using the Thiessen Polygon method and for mapping areas in Jombang Regency I use ArcGIS software. Rainfall data can be obtained from the Kediri Province PSDA office. the Thiessen Polygon method for calculating average rainfall. The results of rainfall intensity in the year from 2017 to 2021 can be obtained from average rainfall including the highest and highest in 2020 of 590 mmat Ceweng station , and the area of the Thisen polygon area can be found using Arcgis with an area of distribution at the Dependent Station 26.570089 km2, at Ceweng Station 41.651724 km2, at Cangakan Station 69.408771 km2 and at Jogoroto Station 31.759876 km2.
