Abstract

Concrete is a composite building material, consisting of cement, aggregate, and water, sometimes also added mixture to produce strong and good quality concrete. Concrete that has good quality and high compressive strength reduces the risk of structural failure, the concrete mixture used is usually a chemical substance that is able to maximize the usefulness of the concrete itself, thereby increasing the compressive strength of concrete and the durability of concrete. One of them is Master Glenium which is a Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer Ether developed for high early strength, the use of this innovative material is expected to improve the quality of concrete compressive strength. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Master Glenium on the compressive strength of concrete, so that it can be used as a reference in planning the manufacture of quality concrete. This test uses aggregate requirement test method, slump test and compressive strength and performs a combination of mixing Master Glenium additives. The results of testing the compressive strength of concrete with a lifespan of 14 days showed the average result of concrete compressive strength of 23.33 Mpa and the average percentage of concrete compressive strength of 107.5%. From the results obtained from the test, it can be concluded that concrete has a compressive strength value and percentage of more than the standard target life of 14 days concrete of 19,074 Mpa.Master Glenium Type 8595 Increases the compressive strength of concrete at the age of 14 days. The following shows the results that the compressive strength of concrete can increase during the treatment period reaching 14 days with an average compressive strength value of 23.33 MPa.
