Abstract

Concrete is a mixture of Portland cement or other hydraulic cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and water. With or without additives forming a solid mass. Apart from conventional concrete, there is also SCC (Self Compacting Concrete) concrete. SCC concrete is self-compacting concrete that can flow underweight and fill the space inside the mold without compaction. In general, SCC concrete has the same content as conventional concrete, except that to make SCC concrete is needed, namely Mastersure 1007 with variations 0.2% and 0.3%. This study aims determine the effect adding Mastersure 1007 additives with variations 0.2% and 0.3% on the compressive strength of concrete which functions to improve concrete quality, reduce water use and increase slump values. The method used in study is experimental method by conducting material testing, job mix design, slump testing which includes J-Ring testing, V-Funnel testing, L-Shape Box testing, Porosity testing, and concrete compressive strength testing. The result of research addition of mastersure 1007 with variations 0.2% and 0.3% has effect on characteristics of SCC, namely the compressive strength concrete. the compressive strength concrete with additive mastersure 1007 variation 0.2% obtained an average value of 12.35 MPa while the compressive strength concrete with the additive mastersure 1007 variation 0.3% obtained an average value of 15.62 MPa. The effect adding mastersure 1007 on characteristics of SCC concrete is that greater the mastersure level, the higher compressive strength of concrete. Conversely, the smaller the mastersure level given, the lower compressive strength of the concrete. Keyword : Concrete, Compressive Strength, Mastersure 1007, SCC
