Abstract

The Lecture Building of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kadiri is classified as a type D seismic design according to SNI 03-1726-2012 article 7.2.5.5. Therefore, the structure of this building is designed using a Special Moment Resisting Frame Structure (SRPMK). Planning and analysis of earthquake resistant structures is carried out in accordance with the latest regulations, namely SNI 03-1726-2012. This ensures that all elements of the building can be part of an integrated structural system. The main objective of this design is to ensure the strength and stability of the building during an earthquake. In this planning, various aspects are taken into account such as the estimated earthquake load, the characteristics of the soil at the building site, as well as the selection of suitable materials and construction. The implementation of SRPMK in the design of this building provides a better structural capability in resisting and reducing the effects of earthquakes, so that the safety of building occupants can be guaranteed. By following building standards and applicable regulations, this lecture is expected to be able to provide a safe and comfortable learning environment for Kadiri University students and staff.
