Abstract

With the change in the conversion of land use into settlements, the absorption capacity of rainwater on the land will also change. Of course this will have an impact on the amount of water runoff that goes to the drainage channel. Therefore it is necessary to plan a drainage system that functions to organize the water installation system and to control erosion which can cause damage to buildings. With the existence of drainage in housing, it is expected to be able to minimize the occurrence of inundation that occurs due to rainwater, and is also supported by local conditions such as the slope of the land, the slope of the channel and the material used. This can affect the timing of the flow and the amount of runoff discharge that will be discharged into channels outside the area. Until it is known how much runoff discharge there is after the construction of a residential area. To be able to determine the drainage facilities to be used such as water gates, pumps and tamping ponds. Through the calculation stages, the dimensions of the tertiary canal with a width of 0.40 – 0.55 m, secondary canal 0.80 – 1.40 m, and primary canal 1.50 m are obtained, all of which lead to a storage pond. The amount of discharge due to housing is 1.45 m3/s which will be temporarily accommodated by a storage pond in the residential area. The embankment height required for residential areas to be able to drain by gravity is 2.10 m (+7.302) from the village road (+5.402).
