Abstract

Structurally, the drainage in the city of West Bacukiki Region and its surroundings is generally rock-solid, however, poor maintenance causes sedimentation or siltation to occur and the amount of waste that accumulates in the canal results in a less smooth drainage system in the canal, causing inundation at several points, namely in Lumpue Village, Sumpang Minanagae Village, Cappa Galung Village, and Tiro Sompe Village. To find out the condition of the drainage system in Lumpue Subdistrict using descriptive qualitative analysis and weighting, while to find out the direction of the drainage system using SWOT analysis. Drainage conditions in the Lumpue sub-district are poor due to very high sedimentation and waste water discharge, causing drainage to become shallow and also an inadequate drainage system. The drainage classification consists of three, namely primary drainage on 1 road, secondary drainage on 9 roads and tertiary drainage on 7 roads. Inundation Time is between 10 – 140 minutes. The direction for the drainage system in Lumpue Village is made by constructing concrete or hardening as a whole and the community and government synergy strategy, in which the community encourages the government to improve the drainage system plan to better deal with the possibility of flooding and community participation to develop community empowerment programs in controlling the environment especially for environmental drainage.
