Abstract

Inhalation therapy is the administration of drugs directly into the airways through inhalation. This administration therapy is currently increasingly widespread and is widely used in the treatment of respiratory tract diseases. A nebulizer is used by inhaling a drug solution that has been converted into mist. A nebulizer is a tool that is very suitable for use by children, adults and those who are experiencing asthma attacks. A nebulizer is a tool made to change liquid that has been mixed with medicine into vapor with the help of piezoelectricity. This tool is designed to be portable with the aim of making mobility easier for nurses and patients. This Piezoelectric Nebulizer is equipped with an Arduino Nano-based timer and a compact shape so that patients can use it anywhere. The piezoelectric nebulizer designed and implemented has been tested for the lowest drug volume measurement method, namely 2 ml, which has a time range of 7 minutes 40 seconds and for measuring the maximum drug volume, namely 8 ml, which has a time range of 34 minutes 28 seconds. The method used by the author in this research uses a piezoelectric component as a medium to convert liquid medicine into vapor. Keywords : Nebulizer, Piezoelectric, Timer.
