Abstract
The Tresna Werdha Jombang Social Service Technical Implementation Unit is a social service unit in an orphanage that is engaged in handling elderly problems. Social services in the orphanage have the goal of fulfilling needs properly. To realize the program at the Tresna Werdha Jombang Social Institution in providing quality services by social workers, it is guided by the Regulation of the Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number 12 of 2017 concerning Competency Standards for Social Workers and Regulation of the Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number 19 of 2012 concerning Guidelines for Elderly Social Services. The purpose of this study was to determine the service quality of the Tresna Werdha Jombang Social Institution in handling the elderly and to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors in improving the service quality of the Tresna Werdha Jombang Social Institution in caring for the elderly. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in this study include: observation, interviews and documentation. The assessment of service quality is based on the theory of Tjiptono, 2012, namely that there are 5 dimensions of service quality consisting of tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy. In the service process carried out by the Tresna Werdha Jombang Social Service Unit there are still some deficiencies, namely in terms of reliability, responsiveness, assurance so that it is necessary to pay attention again by reviewing the supporting factors and inhibiting factors. Suggestions that can be given are for UPT PSTW Jombang to optimize services and add competent staff in their fields. Keywords : UPT PSTW Jombang, Service Quality, Elderly Handling
