Abstract

Jombang sub-district is the focus location for stunting intervention because Jombang sub-district has a number of targets which include couples of childbearing age (PUS), the number of prospective brides, the number of pregnancies, the number of births, the number of babies under two years old (BADUTA), and the most babies under five years old (TODDLER). many when compared with other sub-district areas, so it requires high performance from Jombang sub-district Family Planning Counselors (PKB) to ensure that the programs they run are effective in reducing the number of stunting in the Jombang sub-district area, however, in terms of performance, Jombang sub-district family planning instructors experience problems in terms of the timeliness of completing work. In the Acceleration of Decline Program Stunting (PPS), Family Planning Counselors (PKB) in the Jombang sub-district area were placed in the Accelerated Decline Team Stunting (TPPS) whose role is to support the performance of the Family Assistance Team (TPK). Understand the performance of family planning instructors in accelerating decline Stunting and what factors support and inhibit performance Family Planning Counselor (PKB), then the researcher uses qualitative approach with method Descriptive. Data collection techniques used observation and interviews with selected informants who had daily contact with family planning instructors, namely Family Planning Extension Coordinators, Family Planning Instructors, Family Assistance Team Cadres, and Families at Risk of Stunting. Data analysis uses a three-stage model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions Research result found that the performance of Jombang District Family Planning Counselors (PKB) in terms of focusing on quality, quantity, effectiveness, independence and work commitment has performed quite optimally, but in terms of focusing on Timeliness, it is not yet optimal because there are often delays in data availability and reporting families are at risk of stunting, this is analyzed using Robbins' performance indicator theory used in this research which consists of indicators of quality, quantity, timeliness, effectiveness, independence and work commitment. Therefore, Jombang sub-district family planning instructors are expected to be able to implement the suggestions from the results of this research in order to perform more optimally so that Jombang sub-district can accelerate stunting reduction and not be included in the list of stunting focus locations.
