Abstract

In Indonesia, traffic accidents involving motor vehicles are an important phenomenon in community life so that efforts need to be made to overcome them. In this policy, the government emphasizes that motor vehicles must go through a strict testing process before being allowed to operate on the road. This policy is an important step in reducing the risk of accidents and maintaining smooth traffic flow. With stricter vehicle testing, it is hoped that motor vehicles operating on the highway will meet the established safety standards. The Indonesian government's efforts to minimize traffic accidents on the road are realized through policies that provide roadworthy vehicle standards, especially through motor vehicle testing. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the quality of motor vehicle testing services at the Kediri Regency Transportation Agency and its supporting and inhibiting factors. The research method used in this study is qualitative research. The informants taken were 5 (five) people using purposive sampling. This study took place at the UPTD Motor Vehicle Testing of the Kediri Regency Transportation Agency. Qualitative data collection techniques include interviews, observations and documentation. Data analysis used an interactive analysis model, namely through data collection, data condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions/verification. The quality of motor vehicle testing services is seen based on five dimensions, namely: tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. The results of this study are that the quality of motor vehicle services at the Kediri Regency Transportation Agency is generally stated to be good when viewed from 5 dimensions according to Zeithaml's theory.
