Abstract

Concrete is a construction material that is widely used because of its high strength and durability. However, concrete has a weakness in terms of susceptibility to cracking and failure due to repeated loads. Bendrate wire fiber has been proposed as a solution to improve the performance of concrete. This research was carried out by varying the addition of bendrat wire fiber to the concrete mixture with a predetermined ratio. Concrete samples that have been added bendrat wire fiber are then tested to observe changes in the mechanical properties of the concrete. The results showed that the addition of bendrat wire fiber to the concrete mixture had a significant impact on the mechanical properties of concrete. The addition of bendrat wire fibers increases the tensile strength of concrete significantly, thereby reducing the risk of cracking and failure. In addition, the compressive strength of concrete also increases with the addition of bendrat wire fibers. The bendrat wire fibers form a network that binds the concrete particles together effectively, increasing the concrete's resistance to cracking and deformation. Tests also showed a significant increase in the flexural strength and impact strength of concrete after the addition of bendrat wire fiber. Bendrat wire fibers improve stress distribution within the concrete, providing additional strength when repeated loads or impacts occur. This research provides a better understanding of the effect of adding bendrat wire fibers to concrete mixes. In addition, this research also contributes to the construction industry in the development of innovative and high-quality concrete materials, by improving the overall mechanical performance of concrete.
