Abstract

Maximum rainfall in the study area generally occurs in November or December which corresponds to the wet months/rainy season due to the influence of the humid northwest monsoon. Minimum rainfall occurs in August which corresponds to the peak of the dry season period in the JJA period which occurs due to the influence of dry winds. Furthermore, the results of an evaluation of the availability of water resources in Bulupasar District, Pagu District, Kediri Regency, show a surplus of water during the rainy season and a deficit during the dry season. Meanwhile, analysis of the water balance in the district area shows a deficit condition in all watershed areas. Analysis of the water balance using the rational method in Kediri Regency shows the same pattern as in the Kediri region, where there is a surplus during the rainy season and a deficit during the dry season. The results of the projection of the availability of water resources show that the Kediri region will generally experience a groundwater deficit in June-September and a surplus in October-January. The projection of the level of water demand in Kediri from the time of the study up to the next 5 years states that the need for water has increased significantly between 544,510,800-5,264,009,700-liters so that the areas in the watershed are threatened with a very critical deficit.
