Abstract

The quality of the concrete is very important in ensuring the strength of the structure and its resistance to the applied loads. One of the factors that affect the quality of concrete is its density or density. Good concrete density can provide optimal strength and reduce the risk of cracks or structural damage. In the context of this study, the effect of variations in coarse aggregate size on concrete density needs to be studied in more depth to gain a more comprehensive understanding and produce practical recommendations for construction professionals. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of variations in coarse aggregate size on concrete density with the aim of finding the optimal combination to achieve the desired concrete density. All mixtures in the test met the criteria as concrete, with mix G as the optimal mix. Mixture A has the highest porosity of 30.03% and mixture A has the highest flow rate of 466.99 L/m2/minute. However, mixture G achieved the highest compressive strength, namely 11.62 MPa. This result meets concrete brick quality standards, with a value sufficient for use in garden applications. In the strong compressive assessment, the G mixture achieved the highest yield of 11.62 Mpa. This meets the minimum D quality standard of concrete bricks, which is 8.5 MPa, making it suitable for garden applications.
