Abstract

The construction business is a sector that has an important role in the development and economic growth of a country. Through these activities, physical infrastructure such as buildings, roads, bridges and other public facilities can be built, repaired or expanded. In developing a construction business, a business plan is a very important component. The Business Plan is a strategic document detailing the vision, mission, objectives, marketing strategy, financial plans and operational steps to be taken in running a construction business. This research aims to develop a Sustainable Business Plan that can increase the sustainability of small and medium enterprises in the construction sector. The research was carried out through identification of sustainability issues relevant to the construction sector, literature review, surveys, interviews and data analysis involving small and medium business owners and other stakeholders. The results of this study identify sustainable solutions that include the adoption of green technology, sustainability training, collaboration with stakeholders, and implementation of environmentally and socially friendly business practices. Based on this solution, a Business Plan is created that includes short and long term goals, marketing strategies, financial analysis, and sustainability metrics that are measured and monitored regularly. This Business Plan is then validated and implemented by involving relevant stakeholders. This research is expected to provide practical guidance for increasing the sustainability of small and medium enterprises in the construction sector through the Sustainable Business Plan approach.
