Abstract

Digital Population Identity is a requirement for population administration in modern society, has now penetrated and become part of the government administration system in Indonesia. The development of information technology requires all countries to follow the globalization movement which requires speed and transparency. With this in mind, the Indonesian government, together with its resources, has attempted to create a policy which supports the achievement of digital population identity. One of these policies is the issuance of Domestic Minister Regulation Number Domestic Minister Regulation Number 72 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of Digital Population Identity. The government hopes that by implementing Digital Population Identity, it can provide time effectiveness and convenience for the public in managing administration such as personal identity cards Family Cards as well as important matters related to population administration matters. Active role of government, non-government and society need to work together for the success of implementing this program. In fact, there are still many problems at the location that can hinder the implementation of this program,such as the elderly, who don't have an Android cell phone and have an apathetic attitude. In view of these conditions, this research will present a portrait or describe the implementation of Domestic Minister Regulation Number 72 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of Digital Population Identity in Warujayeng Village, Tanjunganom District, Nganjuk Regency. In this research, the method used is a descriptive qualitative method, with an inductive approach to the entire research process to construct the findings and elaborate them in accordance with the theories of experts. Data collection was carried out by going directly to the research location. The data collection technique is by means of interviews, with key informants assisted by direct observation at the research location and supported by relevant documentation The research results show that the implementation of Domestic Minister of Regulation Number 72 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of Population Identity in Warujayeng Subdistrict is generally going well, the support of the sub-district head and his staff in implementing the program has helped in obtaining a Digital Population Identity. However, there are several findings, namely obstacles related to the implementation of Digital Population Identity in this sub-district. There is something that has come to the surface and stands out, namely that there are still residents of the village who do not have an Android cell phone so they cannot register ownership of their Digital Population Identity. and also elderly people who are unable to register Digital Population Identitya solution has not yet been found for this matter,in addition the implementation of Population Identity in Warujayeng Village, Tanjunganom District, Nganjuk Regency currently does not provide certain additional time and special treatment in this program service such as a pick-up service to residents' homes and also the lack of public attitudes and awareness of the importance of understanding this program.
