Abstract
The city of Kediri has become a city that is developing rapidly, causing changes in the characteristics of the city of Kediri. Along with increasing population growth and city development, this will always be followed by an increase in the need for adequate public facilities and infrastructure, including drainage infrastructure. The condition of the Jalan Veteran area, Mojoroto District, is an area prone to flood disasters due to the lack of rain catchment areas, the unstructured drainage network in the area causing stagnant water flows, this is made worse by the condition of the drainage being covered by sedimentation, and the relatively low contour factor also makes flooding worse. Solutions for handling flood disasters can be implemented as early as possible by the relevant parties so that during the rainy season no detrimental flood disasters occur. Implementing an infiltration drainage system can also be used as a solution for dealing with frequent flooding. This research was carried out to find out how significant the influence was in implementing an environmentally friendly drainage system with infiltration wells to overcome floods that occurred in the Jalan Veteran study area. Analysis and calculations in this final project show that the drainage conditions in the area are not yet able to accommodate excess water runoff, and the implementation of absorption wells of a certain size can help absorb 28,918 m3 of water from an area of 4.79 Ha. 10 units of infiltration wells with a diameter of 100 cm and a depth of 200 cm are required.
