Abstract

Settlement of traffic accident cases is an important aspect of the legal system which functions to uphold justice and provide compensation to victims. However, in the Dayak Bulusu indigenous people tere is a tradition of customary law of the Dayak Bulusu provides insight into the cultural and customary law perspectives that influence decision making in the settlement of these cases. This thesis will expolore the juridical aspects of traffic accident settlement according to Dayak Bulusu customary sanctions, principles and norms used in dispute resolution. The research. The results of this study are expected to customary procedures and sanctions in the settlement of traffic accident cases according to Dayak Bulusu customary law. This research will also explore the uniquensess and cultural valuese that from the basis for settling the case, as well as a comparison with the gelerally applicable national legal system. This Juridcal Review is expected to Dayak Bulusu cuctomary laq in the context of dispute resolution, it is expected to create a more inclusive legal system and provide justice for all parties involved in traffic accidents within the Dayak indigenous community.
