Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of the Bestmittel additive on the compressive strength of concrete at the ages of 7 days and 14 days. Concrete often requires accelerated hardening and performance improvement to meet project demands. Bestmittel is used as a chemical additive to accelerate setting time and enhance the compressive strength of concrete.The research was conducted experimentally in the Civil Engineering Laboratory at Kadiri University. The variables tested included concrete without Bestmittel, concrete with 0.3% Bestmittel, and concrete with 0.5% Bestmittel by cement weight. The research process involved aggregate testing, concrete preparation based on the job mix design, slump testing, concrete curing for 7 and 14 days, and compressive strength testing according to SNI 1974:2011 standards.The results showed that the addition of Bestmittel significantly increased the compressive strength of the concrete. Normal concrete had an average compressive strength of 15.63 MPa at 7 days and 20.94 MPa at 14 days. Concrete with 0.3% Bestmittel increased to 25.76 MPa (7 days) and 26.25 MPa (14 days). Concrete with 0.5% Bestmittel achieved the highest compressive strength of 27.41 MPa (7 days) and 28.28 MPa (14 days). In conclusion, 0.5% Bestmittel provided the best results, accelerating concrete hardening and making it suitable for projects requiring faster completion times.
