Abstract
In carrying out construction work, sometimes problems arise due to the use of conventional or simple methods. One of the problems that occurs is related to the low effectiveness of the work carried out by the construction Project implementation team. One of the problems that occurs in construction work is the long duration of work, Project estimation errors, and weak estimates made. Meanwhile, construction workers are required to complete Projects in a short time and with optimal results. This problem triggers an innovation that is expected to overcome these problems. One of the innovations and solutions currently being developed is using Building Information Modeling (BIM). In the construction of the Bhayangkara Tulungagung Hospital building, especially in structural elements, it can help stakeholders to plan and evaluate the entire work process such as design, physical work, to the final stage of work results. The purpose of this final Project is to create a three-dimensional modeling and calculate the volume of the building structure using the BIM method, then calculate the deviation value against the volume of the conventional method, and compare the efficiency between the BIM method and the conventional method against the costs, time, and human resources involved. The results obtained include three-dimensional modeling, Quantity Take Off from BIM, work items that have volume deviations, and details of the effectiveness of BIM implementation in the Project scope. After the calculation process was carried out, there were several work items that experienced volume deviations and those that did not experience deviations. The results show that the application of the BIM method shows that this method is efficient to apply in the Project scope, because it can produce efficiency in terms of operational costs. Keywords: BIM, 3D Modeling, Effectiveness, Volume.
