Abstract

Fingerroot (Boesenbergiae pandurate) is a plant that has various properties in traditional medicine, one of which is antidiarrheal. This study aims to determine the extract of Fingerrooot (Boesenbergiae pandurate) which has antidiarrheal activity in white mice (Mus musculus). In the first treatment, Mice (Mus musculus) were fasted for 12 hours and then induced using castor oil. Mice (Mus musculus) use were 25 mice with a body weight of 20-30 grams and mice 2-3 months old. In a completely randomized design (CRD) mice were divided into 5 groups: group I as a negative control was given CMC Na, group II as a positive control was given Loperamide, group III was a treatment group given the extract of Fingerroot (Boesenbergiae pandurate) with a dose of 0.006 mg/Kg BW , Group IV was given the extract of Fingerrrot (Boesenbergiae pandurate) with a dose of 0.012 mg/Kg BW, group V was given the extract of Fingerroot (Boesenbergiae pandurate) at a dose of 0.024 mg/Kg BW. The results of the data analysis test using SPSS with the One-Way ANOVA test with a sig value of 0.082 which was declared to be different was not significantly different. Based on the results of the study showed that the extract of Fingerroot (Boesenbergiae pandurate) had potential as an antidiarrheal at a dose of 0.024 mg/Kg BW.
