Abstract

The Amethyst Bridge, located in Nganjuk, is one of the infrastructures on the alternative route between Surabaya and Kediri, often serving as the primary choice for motorists, particularly during holidays when traffic volume increases significantly. The Amethyst Bridge is experiencing various serious structural problems, one of which is the physical condition of the bridge, which has shown cracks and exposure to extreme environmental conditions. This research aims to optimize the design of the structure of the Amethyst Bridge that connects Amethyst Village and Jetis Village in Nganjuk using SAP2000 software. This bridge has experienced a decline in performance due to increased traffic load and extreme environmental conditions. Structural evaluation using SAP2000 includes static and dynamic load analysis and design optimization. The material test results show that the compressive strength of reinforced concrete is 40 MPa and the tensile strength of reinforcing steel is 515 MPa, meeting the required standards. Load simulations indicate that the bridge is able to withstand operational loads with an adequate margin of safety. Design optimization results in a reduction in material costs by up to 10%, improving project efficiency and accelerating construction time. This study shows that the use of structural analysis and optimization technologies such as SAP2000 can improve the efficiency and reliability of construction projects, as well as make a significant contribution to construction management in the future.
