Abstract

The evaluation of the drainage system performance in Salamrojo Village, Nganjuk, aims to identify the factors causing floods and formulate solutions to improve drainage performance. With the rapid increase in population and infrastructure development, the drainage system has become critical for managing rainwater and wastewater. The drainage system in Salamrojo Village, Nganjuk, frequently experiences flooding during the rainy season. The methodology used includes hydrological analysis by collecting rainfall data from the past ten years and calculating the planned flood discharge using the Rational Formula. The research results show that the runoff water discharge exceeds the capacity of the existing drainage channels, causing infrastructure-damaging floods. The current drainage channel condition, with a storage discharge of 0.0739 m³/sec, cannot accommodate the runoff discharge during a two-year return period of 0.1330 m³/sec. Therefore, it is recommended to improve the drainage channel dimensions from B = 0.5 m and H = 0.3 m to B = 0.7 m and H = 0.4 m to increase storage capacity. This research is significant in providing recommendations for drainage system improvements and is expected to encourage the implementation of environmentally friendly drainage to reduce flood risk in the future.
