Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the management of Sendang Markinah in Temboro Hamlet, Plaosan Village, Wates District, Kediri Regency. This research method uses a qualitative approach. The focus of this research uses management theory according to George R. Terry (2013), namely: Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses interactive analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that success in managing and developing Sendang Markinah tourist attraction through planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising (POAC) approach. The steps taken by Paguyupan Sendang Markinah and various related parties have formed a solid foundation to achieve sustainable development goals and have a positive impact on local communities and the environment. The POAC approach has been successful in managing and developing Sendang Markinah tourist attraction. Planning involves the community, resulting in synergy with the government and the private sector. Effective organization through Paguyupan builds strong cooperation. Successful implementation is driven by incentives, rewards, training, and technology. Effective supervision is achieved through the involvement of the community, related parties, and technology. This success enhances the tourist experience, the local economy, and environmental preservation. In conclusion, community participation, collaboration, financial management, and technology play a major role in the sustainable development of tourist attractions. Supporting Factors include socialization meetings that gather community ideas, concrete steps of commitment, active participation in infrastructure, social support increases attractiveness, HR incentives are successful, training has a positive impact, supervision involves the community and technology facilitates communication. Inhibiting factors include potential conflict in socialization, limited resources affecting development, variation in response to incentives, monitoring gaps disrupting plans. Community participation, social support, technology and cooperation between parties support Sendang Markinah, but potential barriers need to be overcome.
