Abstract

This study aims to find out how the effect of work discipline and compensation on employee performance at the Nganjuk Regency Central Statistics Agency. The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire with a sample size of 30 respondents. Measurement of variables is done by Likert scale. The variables used are work discipline (X1), compensation (Y) as an independent variable and employee performance (Z) as a variable of determination. The results of data analysis showed that the value of R ² showed a value of 0.037 or 37.0%. This means that as much as 37.0% of employment is explained by work discipline and compensation, while the remaining 53.0% is explained by other variables outside of this study. From the results of the path analysis it is concluded that the indirect effect of compensation on employee performance mediated by significant discipline. This means that the performance of BPS employees of Nganjuk Regency is getting better if the effect of compensation is getting better with the preceding the creation of high work discipline that is owned by each individual.
