Abstract
The purpose of this study was to obtain results and conclusions from the effect of employee development on performance based on compensation as an intervening variable at KSP Duta Mandiri Makmur Kediri. Quantitative descriptive method is the method used in this study where questionnaires are distributed to a predetermined number of respondents. The number of respondents in this study itself amounted to 52 respondents, all of which were used as samples so that this research was also called census research. In measuring the results of data on the influence of intervening variables, the path analysis method is used. After testing the results show that career development has no effect on performance, competence has an impact on employee performance, and competence underlies the influence of career development on employee performance.
