Abstract
This study examines the role of work motivation in efforts to improve the performance of educators at TK ASSIFA, which is a crucial factor in the success of early childhood education, and work motivation is believed to be one of the main drivers for achieving optimal performance. This study is motivated by the importance of quality human resources in achieving goals, especially in educational institutions. The purpose of this study is to analyze and understand in depth the extent to which work motivation can play a role and influence the performance of educators at TK ASSIFA. This study aims to identify the most dominant form of motivation and how this motivation contributes to improved performance. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach. The data analysis technique used is qualitative descriptive to describe the characteristics of respondents and the level of motivation that affects performance. Then this study was analyzed using Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs theory. The results of the study indicate that work motivation has a significant role in improving the performance of educators at TK ASSIFA. It was found that intrinsic motivation, such as the desire to share knowledge and be useful and the desire to develop oneself. In addition, extrinsic motivation, such as awards and comfortable working conditions, also contribute to driving the performance of educators. The conclusion of this study is that work motivation is a fundamental aspect that must be considered and managed well by the management of TK ASSIFA to ensure that the performance of educators remains optimal. Increasing motivation, both intrinsic and extrinsic, can directly affect the improvement of the quality and effectiveness of the learning process at TK ASSIFA.
