Abstract

This research is motivated by the large number of people in the labor force in Tulungagung who are unemployed. The demands of the world of work for skilled workers encourage job seekers to take part in non-formal education and training to increase their skills and expertise. In this case the government of East Java Province plays an important role in providing job training institutions. Along with the era of regional autonomy, East Java Province established a Technical Implementation Unit for the Tulungagung Job Training Center which is under the supervision of the Manpower and Transmigration Office of East Java Province. The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of job training at the Technical Implementation Unit of the Tulungagung Job Training Center. In addition, this study also aims to determine the extent of the effectiveness of job training carried out. This research was conducted at the Technical Implementation Unit of the Tulungagung Vocational Training Center which is located on Jalan Pulosari Ngunut Km 8 Tulungagung. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method supported by data obtained from interviews, direct observation and documentation. The data analysis technique uses an interactive analysis model based on the data collection process, data condensation, data presentation and also drawing conclusions. Then to provide assurance for the stability of conclusions and interpretations, as a result of the research, data validity tests were carried out including credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability tests. From the results of the research, the researchers concluded that the UPT Tulungagung Vocational Training Center had maximally provided training, both instructors, training tools were mostly fulfilled, and training students were able to master the material provided during the training and graduated with certificates according to vocational. And also students will be monitored until they get a job. Keywords: Effectiveness, Job Training.
