Abstract
The intersection of three Ngujang Bridges in Tulungagung Regency is one of the intersections in Tulungagung Regency, this area is a meeting point for vehicles from outside the area to go to the commercial area. Therefore, traffic on this section is high, resulting in congestion and long vehicle delays, especially during peak hours. This research is to determine the performance of signalized intersections, as well as to find traffic alternatives to overcome congestion problems. The method used is based on MKJI 1997. Based on research results, the queue length and degree of saturation at this intersection are quite high, several alternatives have been made to overcome these problems. Alternative II is considered the most optimal by reducing the phase of the signal, thereby reducing the degree of saturation (DS). Based on the results of the phase change analysis, it was found that the degree of saturation from all approach directions decreased and increased. For the average intersection delay of 46.36 seconds/pcu. Then the right alternative at this time is to reduce the signal phase. Keywords: Congestion, Traffic, Intersection
