Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation on employee performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable at Transmart Kediri. This type of research is survey research, because it takes samples from one population. This study uses an explanatory research approach, which aims to explain the causal relationship between the research variables and the testing hypothesis. The population in this study is all employees at Transmart Kediri with a total of 77 employees. While the sample in this study were as many as 77 respondents. The technique for determining the number of samples taken as respondents in this study is the saturated sampling technique. Methods of data collection using observation (observation), questionnaires or questionnaires, documentation, and literature study. Methods of data analysis with research instrument tests, classical assumption tests, R-Square, F-Square, and Path Analysis. From the results of this study it can be concluded that: (1) There is a positive and significant influence between work motivation on employee job satisfaction at Transmart Kediri. (2) There is a positive and significant influence between work motivation on employee performance at Transmart Kediri. (3) There is a positive and significant influence between job satisfaction on employee performance at Transmart Kediri. (4) Job satisfaction is an intervening variable or in other words the influence of work motivation on performance is mediated by job satisfaction of employees at Transmart Kediri.
