Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of leadership style, interpersonal communication, and work environment on the performance of elementary school teachers in Wates District, Kediri Regency, both partially and simultaneously. This research employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The population consists of all public elementary school teachers in Wates District, totaling 351 teachers, including both civil servant and non-civil servant teachers who are actively teaching. The sampling technique used is probability sampling with a simple random sampling method, resulting in 78 respondents determined using the Slovin formula with a 10 percent margin of error. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using inferential statistical techniques. The results indicate that the principal’s leadership style has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. Interpersonal communication also significantly contributes to improving teacher performance by fostering effective and harmonious working relationships. The work environment emerges as the most dominant factor influencing teacher performance, encompassing both physical and non-physical aspects. Simultaneously, leadership style, interpersonal communication, and work environment have a significant effect on the performance of elementary school teachers in Wates District, Kediri Regency. This study emphasizes that improving teacher performance requires the integrated development of effective leadership, strong interpersonal communication, and a supportive work environment.
