Abstract

The modern era and ever-increasing technological advances have had a major impact on the way people consume. Which is where consumption policies have evolved from initial needs to periodic needs, becoming complementary and more consumer-oriented. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of financial literacy and lifestyle on consumptive behavior in adolescents in Nganjuk Regency. This research uses a quantitative approach, data collection through distributing questionnaires using Google Form, which is then analyzed through the use of SPSS 22. The sample used amounted to 100 teenage respondents in Nganjuk Regency using the Solvin formula. The sample collection technique used Purposive Random Sampling. This research tool was tested through validity and reliability tests. Multiple linear regression analysis is the data analysis method used. This method evaluates the effect of two or more independent variables on one dependent variable. The t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination are the tests used in hypothesis testing (R2). The findings of this study indicate that financial literacy has no significant effect on consumptive behavior in adolescents in Nganjuk Regency, lifestyle has a significant effect on consumptive behavior in adolescents in Nganjuk Regency, and simultaneously financial literacy and lifestyle have a significant effect on consumptive behavior in adolescents in Nganjuk Regency.
