Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Cashless Society, Lifestyle, and Financial Literacy on the consumptive behavior of university students in Kediri City. The background of this research is based on the rapid development of financial technology, the increasing use of cashless payment systems, changes in Lifestyle, and the level of Financial Literacy, which are assumed to affect students' consumption behavior. This study employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The population consisted of university students in Kediri City. The sampling technique used was non-probability purposive sampling, with a total sample of 100 participants. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method with SmartPLS software. The results indicate that Cashless Society has a positive and significant effect on consumptive behavior, with a T-statistic value of 2.167 and a P-value of 0.030. Lifestyle has a positive and significant effect on consumptive behavior, with a T-statistic value of 5.642 and a P-value of 0.000. Furthermore, Financial Literacy has a significant effect on consumptive behavior, with a T-statistic value of 5.519 and a P-value of 0.000. These findings suggest that the use of cashless payment systems, Lifestyle, and Financial Literacy levels are important factors influencing the consumptive behavior of university students in Kediri City.
